Ways To Instill Children With A Love Of Reading
Having you children to love reading is an important trait that will prove to be very beneficial to them. One of the best ways to be sure that your children truly has a love of reading is to read to them at a very early age. It is believed that a baby can hear the mother while still in the womb, this is when I started reading to my children. Start reading to them before they are born, and after they are born sit them on your lap and read to them. Children will feel loved and nurtured when you do this, and will relate reading to a very positive experience in their lives. When you start reading to children at an early age helps them to learn more things, and they will possibly be able to learn to read at an earlier age. Have a certain time set aside so that you can read to your children, uninterrupted, everyday. Make the books fun by creating voices and really bring the books to life. Use books that help them to use their imagination. You can also use puppets for younger children to act out the story you are reading to keep them interested.
